HALFTIME: Duke 39, Kentucky 35

Kentucky struggled from the field, yet hung around with Duke for a half. The Blue Devils shot 46.4% from the field, compared to just 31.7% by the Wildcats, and Kentucky only trails 39-35.
Oscar Tshiebwe grabbed all of the rebounds until his second foul sent him to the bench with 7:50 remaining. Seven of Tshiebwe’s eight boards were on the offensive end, keeping possessions alive for the Cats.

Sahvir Wheeler was the Wildcats’ most pleasant surprise. Not known for his three-point shooting, he splashed a couple of threes, score 12 points and dished out five assists. Kellan Grady made 3-of-4 three-point attempts to score nine points.
One other stat you might notice in the box score: Duke has attempted 17 free throws. UK has visited the charity stripe just four times.
