HALFTIME: Mississippi State 14, Kentucky 10

Kentucky started fast, but the Bulldogs enter halftime with all of the momentum and a 14-10 lead.
Josh Ali provided the early excitement for the Wildcats. In his first game back after a 2.5 week absence, he returned a Mississippi State punt 74 yards for a touchdown. It’s the Wildcats’ first punt return touchdown since Lynn Bowden went to the house against Penn State in the Citrus Bowl.
Following a missed Mississippi State field goal, Kentucky took a 10-0 lead. It shrunk quickly thanks to an efficient passing attack by Will Rogers. The Bulldogs’ quarterback connected on 17-of-19 passes for 160 yards to help Mississippi State score 14 unanswered points and retake the lead before half.

Kentucky had a chance to put points on the board before halftime. Will Levis got the Wildcats into the red zone, then threw his second interception of the night.
