Halftime: South Carolina is putting it on Kentucky

It felt like Kentucky was going to put it on South Carolina. That feeling was fleeting. If you left your seat for a bathroom break when Kentucky was up 10-7, you might’ve returned to see the Wildcats trailing 21-10.
There’s usually one moment in these games that flips it upside down. That happened on a pivotal third down. Kentucky was one first down away from getting back into field goal range. The exact opposite happened.
Dylan Stewart was unblocked on a twist and teed off on Cutter Boley. He fumbled the ball on the sack, and South Carolina returned it for a touchdown.
Things went from bad to worse on Boley’s next pass attempt. The ball was tipped by Kendrick Law right to South Carolina, who returned it for a touchdown.

Kentucky started the game with a touchdown and a field goal. Then the Wildcats gave up back-to-back defensive touchdowns, went four-and-out, and then Boley threw another interception.
This is a big game for Mark Stoops and the train is going off the tracks after a half. Can they get ’em back on? Kentucky at least found some sort of rhythm and moved the ball at the end of the half.
We’ve got 30 more minutes of football coming up next in Columbia, and South Carolina gets the ball first.
