Hamidou Diallo goes down with gruesome leg injury

Former Kentucky guard Hamidou Diallo went down tonight with a gruesome leg injury in Oklahoma City’s game against the Golden State Warriors. Diallo went up for the rebound and came down tangled up with Golden State’s Jonas Jerebko. His leg buckled underneath, and he immediately crawled to the baseline screaming in pain. They brought the stretcher out and carried him off the floor with his leg covered. The video is attached after the break, but I’m warning right now you it’s not for the faint of heart. He had scored nine or more points in three of his last four games, including an 18-point breakout game on Monday where he shot 7-7 from the floor. The comfort was finally coming for a guy we’ve always known to have so much potential. Now, it looks like Diallo is going to have to put his path to finding major NBA success on hold while he recovers from a brutal injury.
