In what seems like a week full of former Wildcat birthdays, everyone join me in wishing Jodie Meeks a happy 29th birthday! I'm not sure how Jodie Meeks is already 29 when I feel like I was just watching him roast the entire SEC in the blue and white two or three years ago.
With how much fantastic talent that John Calipari has brought through this program in the past few years, I feel like Meeks' impact is often overlooked, but I think it is important to realize just how dominant his junior season was for the Cats. Meeks averaged 23.7 points per game, while shooting 40.6% from 3-point land and 90.2% from the free throw stripe. And let's not forget the absolute show he put on against Tennessee down on Rocky Top.
