A big "Happy Birthday!" is in order for one of Kentucky's incoming quarterbacks, Nik Scalzo!
The undersized quarterback made a name for himself in Florida, coming in as one of the state's top-10 quarterbacks and a three-star prospect. He owns nearly all of his high school's all-time passing records, including the single-game passing touchdown record. He lists Baker Mayfield as his favorite football player and sees the comparisons in their games.
"I would consider myself the same play-style as him," Scalzo said. "I’m not as cocky as him, but we have the same mentality because we’re both short quarterbacks. We’ve both been told our whole lives that we can’t do it."
The BBN will have a unique chance to get to know Scalzo before the season begins, as he's set to be featured in the Netflix series QB1: Beyond the Lights. Check out the trailer:
