[caption id="attachment_267452" align="aligncenter" width="496"] @UKCoachCalipari[/caption] Kentucky's beloved head coach John Calipari took to Twitter this morning in order to make sure the Big Blue Nation knew that we're celebrating a couple of important birthdays on this beautiful Friday. https://twitter.com/UKCoachCalipari/status/1169968352950796288 Former Wildcats, John Wall and Alex Poythress, were both born on Sept. 6. They turn 29 and 26, respectively. https://twitter.com/SLAMonline/status/1170027588045217792 https://twitter.com/ESPNNBA/status/1169967539415375872 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhrsKFOz5GE https://twitter.com/CAA_Basketball/status/1169961487730970627 Wall is currently rehabbing his Achilles after having surgery done on the ruptured tendon and there is a good chance he could miss the entire 2019-20 NBA season as the highest-paid player on the Washington Wizards. Last season, Wall appeared in only 32 games after being ruled out for the season in December. He averaged 20.7 points and 8.7 assists for the Wiz in 2018-19. As for Poythress, he finished the most recent NBA season as a member of the Atlanta Hawks, playing 21 games while spending most of his time in the G League, where he averaged over 23 points and nearly 10 rebounds per contest. According to Sportando, Poythress agreed to a deal with a team in early August with the Chinese Basketball Association. Happy Birthday to two fan favorites and some of the best to ever represent the blue and white!
