Herbstreit and SVP are Picking Kentucky against Vanderbilt

Two of your favorite personalities on the four-letter network are backing the Big Blue. Kentucky is an 8.5-point underdog on BetMGM against the fighting Commodores of Vanderbilt. If you think that’s too many points, you are not alone.

Each week during ESPN’s College GameDay, the analysts participate in the Superdog contest. It’s pretty simple. The underdog needs to cover the number, and they get bonus points for outright wins.

For years, Kirk Herbreit has been Mark Stoops‘ most vocal supporter in the national college football media. Now that the Cats are rolling with three straight wins, he’s ready to back his guy once again and taking Kentucky +8.5.

Before the madness began in Oregon on Saturday morning, Scott Van Pelt handed out his weekly card of Winners. If you follow SVP, you know that he loves a plus-sign next to names. This week is no exception. He’s taking the points when Kentucky hits the gridiron on Saturday afternoon at FirstBank Stadium.

“They have won three in a row. I like ’em to keep it tight in Nashville against Vanderbilt,” said Van Pelt.

SEC Nation was in the Music City on Saturday morning. As you might suspect, they really played to the home crowd ahead of Diego Pavia‘s Senior Day. Roman Harper wore a loud suit in Vandy colors. Former Commodore quarterback Jordan Rodgers is taking his team this week, while throwing some Ls Down ahead of the Kentucky finale against Louisville.
