ICYMI: KSR sat down with Kentucky WBB guard Asia Boone to preview the upcoming season

It may have gotten lost in the shuffle a bit amidst all of the (big blue) madness from Saturday, but KSR was able to get a few minutes with Kentucky women’s basketball guard Asia Boone for a 1-on-1 interview to preview the upcoming season.
We talked about her new role at Kentucky as Boone tries to adjust to playing more time at point guard, her days playing against Josie Gilvin in Conference USA, her relationship with Kenny Brooks and more.
There are plenty of wings on the team, but Tonie Morgan is the only true one Brooks has at his disposal this year. Boone will need to provide quality minutes at the point guard spot.
Boone, who was the 2024 CUSA Freshman of the Year, averaged 10.2 points per game as a sophomore, making 36.9% of her shots from three-point range. During the CUSA Tournament, Boone tallied 11.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 6-14 (42.9%) from deep.

She stood out at Big Blue Madness with her shooting ability in the three-point contest, and as good a shooter as she is, she’s even better to talk to.
