Beyonce-and-Nicki-Minaj-Flawless-1 Good morning amigos!  It's already June 8th, how on earth did that happen?!?  That we as a society have made it this far into Summer without having chosen an official Summer Jam is pretty incredible too.  A tried and true tradition of the hotter months, a Summer Jam needs to make us want to dance, needs to be upbeat and poppy, and needs to have a killer hook.  Here are 5 songs that have the potential to be our official jams here in 2015. 1.  Pretty Girls by Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV2uebhnqOw Britney and Iggy ridin' around L.A. singing about the advantages of being a pretty girl.  This definitely meets all the criteria for ridin' round with the top down. 2. Lonely Town by Brandon Flowers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcZ-0o53md8 Brandon Flowers (of Killers fame) new solo effort The Desired Effect is a great throw back album of danceable new wave, reminiscent of the best of the 80s.  This song has a great base track, just begging one to dance to it! 3. Feeling Myself by Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAW7-HyxoyE This is a fairly risqué song, but with these two gorgeous mega stars, and the publicity from the Tidal-only video (Tidal is Jay Z's music streaming service, for anyone who missed that) this song definitely has potential staying power. 4. Bad Blood by Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcIy9NiNbmo Any Taylor Swift song is always going to be a candidate for song of the summer, but once you see the video--which is basically Taylor Swift's Matrix--you're going to have a hard time getting this song out of your head. 5. Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JCLY0Rlx6Q Any song called Shut Up and Dance has a chance to be a Summer Jam.
