Jack Gohlke is still throwing daggers at Kentucky

Jack Gohlke won’t go away. Since losing to NC State in the second round, the Oakland sharpshooter’s stardom has taken him on a victory lap media tour to recap his 54-point weekend in Pittsburgh, where he hit 16 3-pointers in two NCAA Tournament games.
Gohlke recently appeared with Mark Titus and Brandon Walker on “Mostly Sports” to recap his newfound fame since eliminating our beloved Kentucky Wildcats from the NCAA Tournament. He put another dagger in the Big Blue Nation in a clip going viral around the internet today. In it, he revealed how fearless he played against Kentucky, saying he wanted to talk trash to John Calipari but couldn’t bring himself to do it because Calipari already looked defeated early in the game.

“I usually talk a little [bad word] to the opposing coach,” Gohlke admitted. “And I was about to say something to Cal, but he just had this, like, already-defeated look on his face. And I was just like, I can’t even say anything to him. We’re 10 minutes into the game and they’re already scrambling, so I was just like, oh, we already got them.”

Gohlke also revealed he keeps his in-game banter pretty light, citing lines such as “you gotta send another guy” or “switch who is guarding me” as examples. But against Kentucky, saying such ferocious things would’ve been too much for Calipari at that point in the game, Gohlke claims.
Ugh. Kentucky is getting dunked on by an accountant. We have to get out of this funk.
