Kentucky is riding a strong wave of good recruiting momentum in June. The program has added 11 prospects to the class during the month after a very, very, very slow start to the cycle. But the program was hit with some bad news this week.

Malvern (Pa.) Prep EDGE Jackson Samuels-Ford has trimmed his list of schools to four with Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin emerging as finalists. Kentucky did not make the final cut.

Jackson Samuels-Ford took a mid-week official visit to Lexington from June 3-5 in between weekend trips to Wisconsin and Penn State. Stanford and USC also had official visits with Samuels-Ford but failed to make the cut. The Mid-Atlantic standout is currently the No. 216 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking. Kentucky will have to look at other targets at EDGE.

Camden (N.J.) Eastside EDGE Elijah Satchell now emerges as a very notable target for Kentucky. The three-star recruit is the only outside linebacker that visited campus over the last month that is still considering Kentucky. NC State made a big push for Satchell while Northwestern and Stanford also got the prospect on campus.
