Jamon Dumas-Johnson has big performance at Kentucky's pro day

Jamon Dumas-Johnson was a two-year starter at Georgia who earned first-team All-American honors in 2022. The ballyhooed transfer landed at Kentucky for his final season of college football. Dumas-Johnson was very productive and finished the year with 67 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and three fumble recoveries while starting all 11 games played.
Dumas-Johnson looked like an NFL player when he committed to Kentucky. Dumas-Johnson was an NFL player when he left Kentucky. That was confirmed at pro day on Tuesday at the Nutter Field House.
The off-ball linebacker was the star of the event.
After skipping out on testing at the NFL Scouting Combine, Jamon Dumas-Johnson posted some big numbers at pro day. The former four-star recruit will go down as one of the best athletes at the position in this draft cycle.

Jamon Dumas-Johnson posted outstanding explosive numbers in both the broad jump and vertical jump. The forty-yard dash time was also very impressive. The bench press number wasn’t great but the athleticism certainly stood out.
The SEC linebacker had a good performance at the East-West Shrine Bowl and backed it up with strong athletic testing numbers. Dumas-Johnson was seen as a Day 3 pick and that probably hasn’t changed but the pre-draft process has likely carved out a home in the first half of Day 3. Dumas-Johnson could find a home in the fourth or fifth round on draft weekend.
Kentucky’s big transfer addition of last offseason was the big winner at pro day.
