Jared Lorenzen to co-host "James and the Giant QB" college football podcast

by:Austin Horn08/20/16
The state of Kentucky's favorite "throwboy" will team up with Lostletterman.com founder Jim Webber for a new college football podcast. The show is already off to a great start, as they came up with possibly the G.O.A.T. podcast name. Here's a sample of the piece from SB Nation announcing Lorenzen's new podcast:
"I interviewed him for Lost Letterman last year and he seemed like a cool guy," Weber says, "we've interacted on Twitter a couple times and I thought...Man I'd love to do a college football podcast with him. What the hell, I'll just ask... Not only is Jared one of the most exciting football players I've had the pleasure of watching, he is a great guy and absolutely hilarious."
The Round Mound of Touchdown has provided us with some amazing highlights in his career, not least among them from his time with the NKY River Monsters: [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KZY5PUSLSA[/embed] He also holds various records from his time at the helm of UK's offense, despite undergoing a lot of coaching turnover during his tenure (three HC's, and I believe four OC's). Lorenzen also happens to feature in one of my favorite pieces of longform sports journalism, which you can find here. Along with the KSR show podcast, the Matt Jones podcast, and the KSR Football podcast, this'll be one to subscribe to on your iTunes/Soundcloud. Because we can all use a little more "Hefty Lefty" in our lives. Congrats Jared!
