2018 quarterback commit Jarren Williams must have turned in one heck of a performance at The Elite 11 Finals this weekend because this morning, he was selected as one of the final Elite 11 quarterbacks that will participate in the 7-on-7 tournament at The Opening Finals at the Nike World Headquarters in Oregon June 28-July 3. Williams is only the second Kentucky commitment to make the Elite 11 in the Stoops era following Drew Barker back in 2013; even better, he’s the only SEC commit to make the final list.

The honor follows Williams’ bump from a three-star to a four-star in Rivals’ rankings last week. This weekend, he drew rave reviews at The Elite 11 Finals.

“The Kentucky commit left a lasting impression on Sunday afternoon,” Bleacher Report’s Morgan Moriarty wrote. “He had one of his strongest days, while showing command and quick decision-making.”

“Kentucky QB commit Jarren Williams, from Atlanta, just keeps getting better,” SB Nation’s Bud Elliot wrote. “He looks to have tightened up his motion a bit and put on some muscle. Premier programs are still coming after him, but he told me he is solid to Kentucky after recommitting in May. I look for Williams to continue to rise in the recruiting rankings if he can carry his Friday performance into the weekend.”

According to Justin Rowland, Williams will visit Kentucky June 10-11 before preparing for the Elite 11 Finals. In the meantime, let’s enjoy his highlight reel:
