5-Star SG Jason Crowe Jr. Says He's Factoring 'Family and Family-Oriented People' into College Decision

Jason Crowe Jr. is nearing his college decision. The five-star guard doesn’t have a list of schools, but one frontrunner is emerging.
Crowe sat down with KSR+ to break down what factors he’s considering in his commitment. He’ll make his announcement at 5:30 p.m. ET on Friday.
“Obviously, family and family-oriented people,” Crowe said. “A great team, a great coaching staff, and a team that’s going to let me ball out next season.”
Missouri has received one prediction to land Crowe on the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Rivals’ Joe Tipton placed a prediction on July 10.
“I was actually quite surprised when I dug a little bit and was able to break the whole thing open,” Tipton said on KSR’s Here Comes the Boom earlier this month. “Now, the frontrunner is actually Mizzou. Kentucky is not even really in the picture. It’s Mizzou. They’re kind of the leader in the clubhouse. USC and Texas are the other schools to watch.”
Inglewood (California) five-star guard Jason Crowe Jr. is the nation’s No. 7 overall prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Rivals ranks Crowe as the No. 4 shooting guard and the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2026 class.

What is Jason Crowe Jr. Hearing from Kentucky?
Jason Crowe Jr. has continued to talk to Kentucky assistant coach Jason Hart during his recruiting process. Hart is lifelong best friends with Crowe’s father, Jason Crowe Sr., and Crowe Jr. considers him an “uncle.”
“I’ve been talking to them recently,” Crowe said. “Obviously, J Hart is my uncle and I talk to him a little bit.”
However, he can’t say the same for head coach Mark Pope. That communication has slowed down.
“I haven’t really talked to Coach Pope recently. He’s been busy with the team, obviously,” Crowe said. “The coaching staff is cool at Kentucky. I’m still keeping an eye open for other teams as well, though.”
