Transfer Portal Latest | Oregon, Ohio St, Colorado USC After ELITE DL | LSU Tigers Host BIG Visitor

Just about everyone in college football is searching for defensive line help this spring in the transfer portal. Kentucky is one of those teams attempting to add depth at defensive tackle. That has created some super competitive recruitments across the national landscape.

Grand Valley State transfer Jay’viar Suggs is on the move and currently has two years of eligibility remaining. Kentucky offered the defensive tackle on April 26 and quickly got Suggs on campus for a visit on May 2. The Wildcats are not the only ones working quickly in this recruitment.

Since the trip to Lexington, Jay’viar Suggs visited Florida State and USC over the weekend. Both schools recently issued offers to the defensive tackle who recorded 21 tackles and seven tackles for loss last season. Arkansas and Wisconsin got visits from the transfer before the trip to Kentucky.

The Wildcats have added 10 scholarship transfers to the roster this offseason. During the spring, Raymond Cottrell left the program after a short stay and Michigan cornerback DJ Waller Jr. became the only commitment for Kentucky so far in the spring window. Mark Stoops and his coaching and personnel staff are still looking at transfer targets to fill roster holes.

Jay’viar Suggs is a player to monitor, but this is a transfer recruitment that is extremely competitive.
