Former Kentucky receiver Jeff Badet is signing with the Washington Football Team.

Badet’s agent, Will Sarubbi, announced this morning that the speedy wideout would be signing with Washington’s practice squad in hopes of ultimately joining the 53-man roster.

Badet, 26, played football at Kentucky from 2013-2016 before transferring to Oklahoma to finish his collegiate career in 2017. After going undrafted, the 5-foot-11 receiver was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent in 2018.

Most recently, Badet played for the XFL’s Dallas Renegades, who selected the former Wildcat with the fourth overall pick in the 2020 XFL Draft.

In three seasons at Kentucky, Badet managed 1385 total receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 82 receptions, including a 670-yard, four-touchdown campaign in year three.

In his final year of eligibility at Oklahoma, Badet finished with 400 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 26 receptions alongside Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Baker Mayfield.

After the XFL suspended operations back in April, Badet had tryouts with the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers in August before finding his new home in Washington.

While we wait to see if Badet can make the jump from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, check out his highlights from his time at Kentucky:
