Jeff Brohm not going to Tennessee, which has descended into utter chaos
Just when you thought things couldn’t get messier in Knoxville, they did.
Earlier today, reports came out that Purdue coach Jeff Brohm was set to leave Purdue for Tennessee; however, Brohm ended up rejecting the Vols’ offer and now, they’re having to turn elsewhere. According to ESPN’s Chris Low, Tennessee is now focusing on NC State’s Dave Doeren, who was also under consideration for the Ole Miss job until the Rebels decided to keep interim coach Matt Luke. LOL.
In a true sign of how ridiculous this whole situation has become, former Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge tweeted out a screenshot of a conversation with former Vols coach Lane Kiffin, who has been trolling Tennessee fans this week. Just in case it wasn’t clear, Kiffin says he isn’t coming back to Knoxville:
I don’t want him. He doesn’t want to be back here either. Kiffin is not the answer. I promise. See our convo. No. Thanks. Lane. pic.twitter.com/HLjYDQ13s4
