John Calipari's Coaches Clinic now available for free online

Missing basketball right now? John Calipari has a remedy for that. Coach Cal and the Kentucky basketball program have made the team’s 2018 clinic available online, free of charge. Calipari tweeted the news, saying he hopes “this puts a smile on some faces as we social distance!”

“My hope is for all coaches, this is the best way to do clinics now. We’ve got the technology,” Calipari says in the video. “Instead of you coming to us, we’ll come to you. It still helps the game.”

The clinic is designed for basketball coaches across the globe, as Coach Cal and his staff run through shooting drills, defensive breakdowns and other training techniques. In total, the video is over four hours long, so it’ll definitely help you pass the time and cure a bit of your basketball cravings. The event was originally live streamed through CoachCal.com at 11 a.m. on October 21, 2018, and the video is still available on the website now. Anyone can access the clinic, even in Hungary!

“My hope is that everybody that was here and all you out there that were streaming this… I’m hoping you got something here that makes you say: ‘this fits with what we do,’ and then it helps your individual players get better,” Calipari said.
