Following practice this morning, Joker Phillips met with the media and chatted a bit about the running back position and the uncertain statuses surrounding the two guys expected to get the most carries this season. On the subject of
Donald Russell and his mother's case of Little Leagueosis, Phillips simply said that he wants exactly what she wants, which is for Russell to be successful. I guess he just has a different way of showing it than she does. On the subject of
Derrick Locke, GI Joker said that the tailback is still battling his shoulder injury and that the issue now is not the injury, but moreso the recovery, which leaves him fatigued and struggling to hold on to the ball as practices wears on. He is still questionable for Saturday's game.
