While the Kentucky Derby is a national sporting event, the Kentucky Oaks is the locals’ day to party. (Or is that Thurby now? I can’t keep up.) That’s why it’s so fitting that Jordan Smith, Harlan native and winner of NBC’s “The Voice,” will perform the national anthem before the Oaks next Friday. If you’re not able to be there, don’t worry; the performance will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network.

Additionally, Kate Upton will serve as First Lady of the Oaks, participating in the eighth annual Survivors Parade. Both Upton and Smith will also be guests at the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala, along with celebrities like Kid Rock, Alabama Shakes, Megyn Kelly, Aaron Rodgers, Lindsey Vonn, Boyz II Men, Jon Voight, Elin Nordgren, Carson Kressley, Jay Williams, and JOEY FATONE! Randall Cobb, Nerlens Noel, Terrence Jones, Julius Randle, Devin Booker, Tyler Ulis, Alex Poythress, Jamal Murray, and Skal Labissiere will represent UK at the event, so get ready for plenty of red carpet pictures of your favorite Cats.

What will Smith’s national anthem sound like? Here’s his performance from the 2016 Winter Classic:
