Josh Allen to wear No. 41 in Jacksonville
The team name and colors of the jersey will change, but Josh Allen will continue to hear his No. 41 jersey in Jacksonville.
The Jaguars officially announced the jersey numbers for the top three picks and Allen’s No. 41 means he (A) gets to keep his old number and (B) will be listed as a linebacker on the roster. If he were labeled a defensive end, he would have to wear 50-79 or 90-99, per the NFL’s jersey number rule.

Allen’s jersey is the first we know of the new crop of UK talent to join the league this week, although Benny Snell has made it clear he wants to be No. 26 in Pittsburgh. If granted, Snell’s wish will be welcomed by the fan base, considering it was the number worn by former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, an unpopular name in that organization.
This is all very important information for the many of you who are eager to buy new jerseys to support the Cats. KSR will keep you updated.
