The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to a hot start under first-year head coach Liam Coen. The Duval County franchise is a prime contender in the AFC South and is very much involved in the NFL playoff picture. But the biggest moment of their home game on Sunday at EverBank Stadium occurred at the coin toss.

Josh-Hines Allen‘s son, Wesley, was named an honorary captain for the Week 6 games against the Seattle Seahawks. The eight-year-old joined his father, Trevor Lawrence, and other Jacksonville players at midfield before the game.

Wesley was diagnosed with leukemia last year. The first born child on Hines-Allen and his wife Kaitlyn completed cancer treatment in August and is currently in full remission. Josh and Kaitlyn Hines-Allen recently launched a season-long campaign through their “Four One For All” charity, called “Four One For Hope” for 2025. This was created to help raise money and awareness for four organizations committed to fighting cancer: Nemours Children’s Health, the American Cancer Society, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

To honor this victory, the Jaguars did something very cool. Wesley is back to watching his father rush the pass and create havoc in the NFL just like he did at Kentucky when he won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy back in 2018.

Josh Hines-Allen ranked No. 63 in NFL Top 100

Josh Hines-Allen signed a five-year extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars last offseason worth $150 million. The AFC South franchise did that for a reason.

The former No. 7 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft is one of the best players in football. That was confirmed in July when Hines-Allen was named the No. 63 overall player in the Top 100 countdown.

“Josh is one of those guys that makes me happy that I don’t play on the edge,” Former Jaguars starting center Mitch Morse said. “Not only is he a physical presence, he’s got the physical attributes, but he also is diligent in his craft.”
