Ruining Saturdays since 1996!
Now I know it's still going to be a HUGE game tomorrow, and I know I will be rockin' steady in Section 227, but nobody is excited about the 12:30 kickoff time slot in October in Lexington. The good news is that the state of UK football has changed drastically. It used to be a tough decision for some on whether to enjoy Keeneland or take in a game; that decision is no longer difficult with what looks to be a season-turning game less than 24 hours away.
Still, for those not fortunate enough to make it to the game, why not watch some world-class racing! Keeneland does a good job covering UK games on site (I should know, since I had to watch the
brutal Mississippi State game from there last season), so you can get your football fix at the same time.
- The Breeders Cup decided to do the right thing and hold the
2010 Breeders Cup at the only facility that is large enough to accommodate it adequately.
- It's looking more and more like Big Brown and Curlin will finally meet in late October. Epic.
- Speaking of Big Brown,
can this guy EVER stay out of trouble?
- Also, speaking of "big brown," did anyone watch
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia last night? Hilarious.
Sooooooo, last week wasn't great money-wise, but we managed to hit 4 of 8 races (including the Shadwell trifecta), so go to the window and pretend that you weren't aware that you had to hit four races
in a row. After the embarrassing back and forth with the teller, try to recover this week with these bad boys:
$1 Pick Four Part Wheel (Race 2) 10-12-8 with 3-6-12 with 2 with 8-6 (the single in the 4th may not be the best play, so add to it if you feel so inclined)
Bet: $18
.50 Pick Four Part Wheel (Race 7) 1-8 with 8-9 with 1-3-5-6-8 with 3-8-11 (sadly, I could still miss on that 9th race...WIDE OPEN)
Bet: $30
***Thanks to viewer 081305 for the .50 Pick Four idea. Genius.***
