Keep the celebration going with highlights from Kentucky-Florida

Saturday night was about as much fun as a Kentucky Football fan can have in Lexington, and it was long overdue. Mark Stoops’ Wildcats dominated Florida, 38-7, to snap an 11-game home losing streak against conference opponents and Louisville. It had been more than two years since Big Blue Nation left that stadium smiling after a meaningful win.

The Wildcats looked sharp from start to finish. Cutter Boley continued his late-season rise, completing 18 of 23 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns, while running backs Dante Dowdell and Seth McGowan bulldozed through Florida’s defense for 196 yards and three scores. Dowdell’s 65-yard run was the exclamation mark.

Kentucky’s defense also dominated, forcing four turnovers and holding Florida to just 247 total yards in a near shutout. The Gators didn’t score again after a first-quarter touchdown that came off a muffed punt. From there, it was all Wildcats in every phase of the game.
