bam-boogie Bam Adebayo has improved, but as we've been saying for weeks, he needs to get the ball more often. Over the last four games, Bam's 14-17 from the floor (84.5%), which is an impressive percentage, but in the Ole Miss game alone, he was 12-19 for 25 points. While most would say the guards need to feed Bam the ball more often, today, big man guru Kenny Payne said Bam can't wait for those touches, he has to demand them. "No question," Payne said when asked if Bam should ask for the ball more often. "I think that's the finished product of what we're trying to do as a team. If we get Bam to be more aggressive without a play being called, meaning, he sprints the floor, the ball's on the left side of the floor, he sprints the right side, he sprints the post, demand the ball. It's not a play. We don't have to force feed you when you can get it in a flow. When he figures that part out, it changes the whole dynamic of what we are." Payne added that he wished Bam would model his attitude in the post after another of his pupils: DeMarcus Cousins. Stop being nice and start being like Boogie? "I think [Bam is] too nice and too unselfish. I really do. I think that if he had a little bit of DeMarcus Cousins mentality, he changes the dynamics of this team. Every game, I'm telling him, take over the game for us, dominate the game for us. Don't sit back and let the game, there's 5-6 minutes you don't touch the ball, you don't say a word. That's not who you are, that's not how good you are. You're a special basketball player, go and dominate the game." Less Pebbles, more Bam--err, Boogie.
