Kentucky Assistant Cody Fueger Visiting With Several Prospects in Milwaukee

Kentucky assistant coach Cody Fueger grew up in Milwaukee. He’s been back in his hometown on Tuesday, checking in with some of the top prospects in the state of Wisconsin.
The state of Wisconsin has six ranked prospects in the 2027 class. Kentucky was in to see five of them on Tuesday.

Dooney Johnson
Cody Fueger started the morning by checking in on four-star guard Dooney Johnson. Kentucky has been involved in Johnson’s recruitment since the early summer.
The 6-foot-6, 170-pound point guard from Milwaukee – Juneau (Milwaukee, WI) was first contacted by Fueger on June 15, the first day that college coaches were able to each out to 2027 prospects. UK has remained consistently in contact since then.
“It went very well,” Johnson’s father, Torre Johnson, told KSR+ after the meeting.
Johnson is the No. 30 overall player in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks Johnson as the No. 3 point guard and the No. 17 overall player in the class.
Jalen Brown
Jalen Brown is one of the newer names on Kentucky’s radar. After visiting with Dooney Johnson, Kentucky assistant coach Cody Fueger headed over to Wauwatosa West to meet with Brown.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard is newly on Kentucky’s recruiting board. He currently holds offers from the likes of Wisconsin, West Virginia, Nebraska, Georgetown, Washington, Mississippi State, and Arizona State, among others.
Brown is the No. 94 overall player in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks Brown as the No. 21 shooting guard and the No. 109 overall player in the class.
Donovan Davis
Next up for Cody Fueger is Kentucky target Donovan Davis. The 2027 four-star forward told KSR+ that he is expecting to meet with Fueger after school on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound power forward from Freedom (Kaukauna, WI) has been in contact with Kentucky since June 15. While Kentucky hasn’t offered, Davis holds offers from the likes of Iowa State, Marquette, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Cal, and Syracuse, among others.

Davis is the No. 73 overall player in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks Davis as the No. 7 power forward and the No. 31 overall player in the class.
Jack Kohnen
Jack Kohnen is a player that can be added to the list of names Cody Fueger visited on Tuesday. The four-star forward has become a priority for plenty of Midwest schools.
The 6-foot-5, 170-pound small forward from Slinger (Slinger, WI) holds offers from the likes of Iowa State, Nebraska, Marquette, Iowa, Tulsa, Western Illinois, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Wake Forest, and Indiana, among others. He’s recently taken visits to Iowa State, Marquette, and Wisconsin.
Kohnen is the No. 80 overall player in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks Kohnen as the No. 12 small forward and the No. 39 overall player in the class.
Deuce McDuffie
Deuce McDuffie is the final name on the list of players Kentucky assistant coach Cody Fueger visited on Tuesday. The 2027 three-star forward has previously visited Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound small forward from Rufus King HS (Milwaukee, WI) holds offers from the likes of Wisconsin, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Grambling State, and UCF, among others.
McDuffie is the No. 145 overall player in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals ranks McDuffie as the No. 25 small forward and the No. 83 overall player in the class.
