Kentucky has yet to win an SEC game. Auburn just won its first last week, knocking off Arkansas in Fayetteville. Both teams are desperate for a win with fanbases that are increasingly restless. KSR’s LIVE BLOG will bring you all the sights and sounds from the Hot Seat Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network).

Kentucky’s offense has made strides in recent weeks, but the defense has regressed. Tonight, they’ll face Auburn’s new starting quarterback, Ashton Daniels. Daniels took over for Jackson Arnold in the Arkansas game and led the Tigers to the comeback win. Can Kentucky’s defense contain the dual-threat QB? Can the Cats’ offense put up points vs. a Tigers defense that ranks fifth in the SEC? Which coach will come out on top and potentially save their job, Mark Stoops or Gus Malzahn?

Refresh the feed below for updates and KSR’s takes on the game from Jordan-Hare Stadium and the couch. You can also join the conversation on the KSBoard Game Thread or by texting your observations to 859-710-3556 (standard messaging rates apply).

Mark Stoops and Kentucky celebrate the win

11/01/2025 10:06:14 PM

You could hear the emotion in Mark Stoops’ voice during his postgame interview with Alyssa Lang. Regardless of what the future holds, tonight was a much-needed moment of joy for the program. Celebrate it as such.

FINAL: Kentucky 10, Auburn 3

11/01/2025 09:43:10 PM

Auburn found Cam Coleman on fourth-and-six and then found an 18-yard completion to create a scoring opportunity. Then the defense bowed up. A terrific pass rush on third-and-long from Sam Greene ended in a sack. Then an Ashton Daniels prayer was intercepted in the endzone.

Kentucky’s SEC losing streak is over.

The game comes down to this

11/01/2025 09:36:57 PM

After a deep ball incompletion, Kentucky’s pressure gets home to Ashton Daniels. Hugh Freeze has to burn his final timeout with 1:07 left.

Auburn has a fourth-and-six at their own 40.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3

We’ve reached the two-minute stoppage

11/01/2025 09:32:07 PM

A 13-yard completion from Ashton Daniels to Omar Mabson II moves the chains and gets us to the two-minute stoppage. The Tigers are out to their own 22.

Both teams have multiple timeouts left.

Auburn gets off the field

11/01/2025 09:29:53 PM

The Tigers generate a three-and-out after losing the interceptions. Hugh Freeze only needed to burn one timeout due to a third down incompletion. Cutter Boley and Hardley Gilmore IV were not on the same page on a fade ball.

Auburn has possession at their own 9. Ashton Daniels is back in the game at quarterback.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3

Kentucky avoids disaster

11/01/2025 09:26:31 PM

Bush Hamdan drew up an undere center play-action on second-and-six that ended with a Cutter Boley interception. Luckily, Cameron Miller makes a great hustle play and forces a fumble to allow the Cats to regain possession.

Hugh Freeze has burned his first timeout. Kentucky now has a second-and-six at the Auburn 47.

Kentucky forces a three-and-out

11/01/2025 09:21:23 PM

Incompletion, short run, and a Steven Soles Jr. pressure and sack gets the Cats off the field. Kentucky has the ball at their own 38. Auburn has three timeouts left.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3 | 3:52 (4th Quarter)

Kentucky’s drive bogs down short of midfield

11/01/2025 09:15:51 PM

On second-and-nine, offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan went for it. Kentucky dialed up a shot play and had Hardley Gilmore IV open. But the young wideout ran a skinny post and it looked like Cutter Boley was expect a direct go route. The punt team has to come on.

Auburn regains possession at their own 17 after another terrific punt from Aidan Laros.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3 | 5:18 (4th Quarter)

Auburn flips the field — but Kentucky creates a stop

11/01/2025 09:05:12 PM

Auburn found some rhythm with Jackson Arnold at the helm gaining 34 yards on the first three plays of the drive before a quick second down pressure from Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace leads to sack. The Cats force a punt two snaps later.

Kentucky’s offense is back on the field at their own 16 after a fair catch from Kendrick Law.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3 | 8:59 (4th Quarter)

Hugh Freeze has seen enough

11/01/2025 08:59:48 PM

Ashton Daniels has now played five full quarters for Auburn. The Tigers have yet to score a touchdown. Hugh Freeze has seen enough. A quarterback change is being made. Jackson Arnold is entering the game.

Kentucky flips the field

11/01/2025 08:58:16 PM

The Wildcats methodically moved the ball into Auburn territory before a first down tackle for loss and second down sack create a third-and-20. Aidan Laros pins Auburn inside the 10 again. Back and forth we go.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3 | 11:56 (3rd Quarter)

This game is flying by

11/01/2025 08:51:27 PM

The game is only 2 hours and 11 minutes long but that’s not stopping us from moving to the fourth quarter. The Cats have another drive cooking after another third-and-long completion from Cutter Boley moves the chains. Kentucky needs only about 25 yards to feel good about another field goal attempt.

Auburn flips the field

11/01/2025 08:45:07 PM

Auburn goes 43 yards in 11 plays and milks over six minutes off the game clock before a Kahlil Saunders sack on third-and-seven prevents under fourth down attempt for the Tigers. The Tigers flip the field after starting the possession at their own 9.

UK gets the ball for their second possession over the third quarter just over 90 yards from the endzone.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3 | 3:12 (3rd Quarter)

Kentucky wins the Middle Eight

11/01/2025 08:29:12 PM

How about that? After a bad interception gifted Auburn three points, Kentucky drives 75 yards in 10 plays with a pair of third-and-long completions to Fred Farrier II to extend the drive. Cutter Boley then finds Kendrick Law in quick game for a 13-yard touchdowns.

The Cats have won the Middle Eight.

Kentucky 10, Auburn 3 | 9:27 (3rd Quarter)

Hugh Freeze hints at QB change in 2nd half

11/01/2025 08:03:36 PM

Kentucky’s defense did a pretty job against Auburn quarterback Ashton Daniels in the first half, holding him to 6-14 for 42 passing yards and 9 carries for 33 rushing yards. As he was headed into the tunnel, Hugh Freeze told Alyssa Lang that the staff would talk about making a quarterback change during halftime. This is Daniels’ first start. The Stanford transfer took over for Jackson Arnold, who started Auburn’s first eight games, last week vs. Arkansas, and led the Tigers to the 33-24 win. It sounds like Freeze is willing to switch it up and go with Arnold’s arm in hopes of getting some offense rolling in a must-win game.

How thrilling is this game? It’s the lowest-scoring first half in an SEC game this season, tying Vanderbilt vs. Missouri. No wonder Disney didn’t want YouTube TV subscribers to see it.

Auburn strikes first in the Middle Eight

11/01/2025 07:57:56 PM

Kentucky blew a golden opportunity when Cutter Boley throws a second down interception up the seam. A big return gave Auburn the ball just outside of the red zone. Kentucky’s defense bows up and holds the Tigers to a short field goal.

We’re tied at the half.

Kentucky 3, Auburn 3 | HALF

That was something by Hugh Freeze

11/01/2025 07:49:21 PM

After a huge Ashton Daniels scramble got Auburn across midfield for the first time, Hugh Freeze decided to roll the dice on fourth-and-seven. Kentucky burns a timeout and dials up a pressure call. Steven Soles Jr. gets home and now the Cats have a chance to add Middle Eight points.

We’ve entered the Middle Eight

11/01/2025 07:35:17 PM

A false start penalty on right tackle Alex Wollschlaeger puts Kentucky behind the chains on second-and-long puts UK behind the chains. The Cats moves the sticks a couple of time before Aidan Laros pins Auburns inside the 20 againt.

We have entered the Middle Eight.

Kentucky 3, Auburn 0 (4:51 | 2nd Quarter)

Will Rorighez heads to the locker room with an injury

11/01/2025 07:32:42 PM

On an eight-yard catch, Willie Rodriguez appeared to reaggravate the ankle he injured last week against Tennessee. The sophomore tight end has headed to the locker room.

There’s the first three-and-out

11/01/2025 07:25:43 PM

A Tavion Gadson sack gets the party started before an Ashton Daniels misfire ends a quick three-and-out series for the Tigers. Kentucky’s failure to field a punt costed them some important field position yards but the Tigers are putting up just 2.5 yards per play through four possessions.

Kentucky adds 3

11/01/2025 07:19:24 PM

Kentucky gets on the board first. The Cats get three gains of 10-plus yards to get into field goal range. The drive bogs down when Cutter Boley just missed an open Josh Kattus across the middle on second-and-long. Jacob Kauwe splits the pipes from 48 yards to put the road team on top.

Kentucky 3, Auburn 0 | 11:40 (2nd Quarter)

We’re tied after 15 minutes

11/01/2025 07:11:47 PM

A defensive slugfest and field position battle has broken out at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Neither offense has crossed midfield yet. The Cats held Auburn to 3.3 yards per play in four possessions but the offense hasn’t found its footing yet.

Kentucky 0, Auburn 0

Kentucky records 3 stops in the first quarter

11/01/2025 07:09:13 PM

I believe this is called a kill in college basketball. Auburn does not have a three-and-out on offense yet but the Cats have quickly gotten off the field after the chains move for the first time. The run defense has been stout early and Ashton Daniels does not look comfortable right now.

Aidan Laros flips the field again

11/01/2025 07:03:44 PM

An 18-yard completion to Kendrick Law moves the chains but Cutter Boley nearly had two interceptions on throws to the right on that drive. The young quarterback seem a bit inaccurate early. Aidan Laros booms one 49 yards to flip the field.

Auburn will start their third possession at their own 12.

Auburn records the first big situational win

11/01/2025 06:56:17 PM

Kentucky had Auburn backed up but the Tigers were able to muster out two first downs before punting. The Tigers got a huge eight-yard completion on third-and-eight from their own four to get out of the shadow of their own goalposts. Then a 50-yard punt helps the home team flip the field. Kentucky will start their second possession inside the 20. This has been a field position game early on.

Aidan Laros drops a bomb

11/01/2025 06:50:18 PM

Kentucky does not take advantage of the good field position. Run-screen-scramble turns into a three-and-out. However, a 52-yard punt by Aidan Laros pins Auburn inside the five. The Cats have a chance to get an even shorter field now if the defense can get a quick stop.

Kentucky’s run defense shows up early

11/01/2025 06:43:58 PM

Auburn went with a run-heavy script as expected to start this game. The Cats held Jeremiah Cobb to just five yards on three carries with two nice plays by Daveren Rayner. Alex Afari Jr. then generates a pressure to create a third-and-long incompletion.

In a surprise, Kendrick Law was tonight’s starting punt returner. After gaining 11 yards, Cutter Boley and offense will begin their first possession just 62 yards from paydirt.

Kentucky wins the toss and defers

11/01/2025 06:38:39 PM

Kentucky win the coin toss. The Cats elect to defer. Auburn will get the ball moving from left to right. You know what this means? UK will have a chance at the Middle Eight double-dip possessions. The game will start on ESPNews.

War Eagle rules

11/01/2025 06:22:42 PM

This is my 13th SEC Stadium visit. I’ve seen a lot of pregame traditions. War Eagle might have been the coolest. That was awesome.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:39 p.m. ET

11/01/2025 06:17:24 PM

It looks like the Mississippi State and Arkansas game could run long on the SEC Network. As of right now, the stadium clock here at Auburn has this game starting at 7:39 p.m. ET/6:39 p.m. CT.

Auburn has hedges

11/01/2025 06:10:47 PM

Georgia is known for their landscaping abound the stadium and cool nickname (Between the Hedges). Auburn has something similar. Those make rushing the field fairly difficult.

Kentucky will be without a dozen scholarship players

11/01/2025 05:10:55 PM

The final availability report of the week just dropped. The good news? Seth McGowan is ACTIVE. The bad news? Kentucky will be without 12 scholarship players. Starters and rotation players will be missing at wide receiver and in the secondary.

KSR is on the Plains

11/01/2025 04:56:07 PM

We have arrived at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Don’t get many endzone press box looks in this league. Auburn recently moved their box to inside and we are sitting very low for the ball game tonight. I’m caddy corner from the Kentucky fan section. Judging from my walk into the stadium, it should be a good Big Blue Nation presence on the Plains.

How to Watch, Listen

11/01/2025 01:05:46 PM

If you have YouTube TV, you’ll be among the millions trying to find a way to watch the game as the dispute between the streaming platform and Disney (ESPN) continues. If you have ESPN Unlimited or one of the many Disney-affiliated streaming services that offer it, you should be able to pull it up on the ESPN app.

  • Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • TV: SEC Network (Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers, Cole Cubelic)
  • Local Radio: UK Sports Network (Tom Leach, Jeff Piecoro, Dick Gabriel)
  • AM: 840 WHAS, 630 WLAP
  • FM: 98.1 WBUL
  • OnlineiHeart Radio
  • Sirius XM: 374 (UK) or 113 or 190 (Auburn)

Earlier today, I put together a rundown of how you can watch the game if you have YouTube TV. Streaming services like Sling, Fubo TV, and DirecTV Stream are offering deals and trials that offer ESPN’s channels, including the SEC Network. There are also lots of illegal streams out there if you dare. We’ll have updates for you here and on KSBoard.
