Kentucky Baseball is Bringing Back Black Uniforms for 2023

Like ACDC, the Kentucky Baseball team is back in black. This week UK rolled out a new alternate jersey for both home and away games. It’s the first time the Bat Cats will be rocking new jerseys since 2018, Nick Mingnione’s second season in Lexington.
You can never go wrong with script “Kentucky” in the middle of a jersey. If you’re making your way out to Kentucky Proud Park this spring, you’ll also notice the old blue pads around the field were replaced with a clean, black look. Coincidence? I think not.

Big shout out to equipment manager Jeff Poole, friend of the program, for designing the new threads. There’s no set date on when the new black uniforms will make their debut, but the Bat Cats will be back in action this week.
The first pitch of the 2023 Kentucky baseball season will be thrown at Elon Friday afternoon at 4 pm to kick off a three-game series. The Bat Cats open up Kentucky Proud Park Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 4 pm against Evansville.
