Kentucky baseball will host intrasquad scrimmage under the lights next weekend

Keeneland’s fall meet is off and running. Kentucky football will return to Kroger Field next weekend when the Texas Longhorns roll into town for the first time ever. Those two events will team up to create quite the weekend in Lexington. They won’t be the only show in town.
Kentucky basketball will host its annual Blue-Whit game at Historic Memorial Coliseum on Friday night. That won’t be the only event occurring on campus. Kentucky baseball will also be in action that weekend over at Kentucky Proud Park.
The Bat Cats will open the gates as Nick Mingione’s program hosts a fall ball scrimmage. Buzz keeps building for the baseball team on campus. This will give fans an opportunity to get an early look at Mingione’s 10th team in Lexington.
Over the weekend, Kentucky handled West Virginia in two seven-inning scrimmages where some transfer additions for the program shined. Next up will be an intrasquad scrimmage at Kentucky Proud Park next Friday before UK hosts Morehead State for another scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Fall ball is off and running. The baseball season is slowly inching closer as Mingione and his squad will attempt to make another run to Omaha in 2026.
