Kentucky drops in Bracketology; Updated NCAA Tournament Resume

Following the loss to UCLA, the last thing most Kentucky fans want to think about is the NCAA Tournament. Alas, Bracketology never stops, even if it’s December and your team is depressing.

In today’s update, Joe Lunardi has Kentucky as a No. 5 seed, down from a No. 4 seed a week ago. In this hypothetical exercise, the Cats are in the Midwest Region, potentially facing Indiana in the second round, Kansas in the Sweet 16, and either North Carolina/Gonzaga/Alabama in the Elite Eight. Fun!

Kentucky’s projected NCAA Tournament seed via BartTorvik is 5.7, so leaning toward a No. 6 seed. BartTorvik’s TourneyCast, which is based on 10,000 simulations, says Kentucky has a 94.7% chance of making the tournament and a 7.3% chance of making the Final Four.
