As Kentucky coach John Calipari revealed on Thursday night following the Cats’ 93-69 victory over Canada in the second game of the 2023 GLOBL Jam Tournament, Kentucky players and staff visited Drake’s $100 million mansion in Toronto on Friday.

The “blue” carpet was rolled out for the Wildcats. They were greeted with a banner that read “Welcome University of Kentucky,” with blue and white balloons decorating the front of the Grammy Award winning rapper’s home. Drake is currently touring America as part of his “It’s All a Blur” tour, so he wasn’t present. Calipari revealed in his June 30th presser that Drake gave him the keys to his house.

“I do have keys to his house, so I may drop the team by his house,” he said. “I want to see the court because he has Toronto Raptors, Leafs, and Kentucky stuff there. But believe me, ‘I already called and said I need you to coach my team’.”

“Measuring 50,000 square feet, with amenities such as an NBA regulation-size indoor basketball court crowned by a 21-square-foot pyramidal skylight, Drake’s astonishing domicile certainly qualifies as extravagant,” Architectural Digest’s Mayer Rus wrote back in 2020. The team got up close and personal with the OVO court, practicing for a bit before heading outside to the pool.

Along with enjoying Drake’s basketball court and pool, the team was also given a tour of the rapper’s jaw-dropping jersey collection. Among the museum-like display of jerseys featured autographed items from the likes of LeBron James, Larry Bird, Allen Iverson and John Wall. The college basketball world couldn’t help to watch in awe as the Cats and Calipari seemed to have get their swagger back.

UPDATE: John Calipari just shared this video from Drake’s house on social media. Sadly, it cuts off before we know if the team threw him in the pool.
