Kentucky WBB has been in contact with Auburn transfer guard Yuting Deng

Kenny Brooks and Kentucky are starting to ramp up the heat in their quest to get a transfer portal commitment. When you look at the roster, they could really use some help with guard depth, and the staff seems to be focusing on that just a bit.
A source told KSR that Kentucky has been in contact with 6-foot Auburn transfer guard Yuting Deng. She put up 11.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per game as a freshman, knocking down 36.5% of her three-point attempts as well.
The Chinese Women’s Hoop Show (@CWHoopShow) had the report first, also noting that there are dozens of big-time programs looking at her. UConn, Duke, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Baylor are among the most high-profile suitors.

Deng was named to the All-SEC Freshman team this season, and if it weren’t for All-SEC Second Team selection DeYona Gaston, she would have been the Tigers’ best player this season. She would be a pretty good get for any program, especially considering her potential.
Hopefully, that program happens to be Kentucky.
