uoflbaseball Kentucky took a 5-1 lead into the bottom of the 7th but let the win on the road slip away.  UofL's Devan Hairston hit a walk-off RBI single to sweep the season series and take their fifth in a row over UK. Kentucky had all of the momentum early, building on their big lead in the top of the 7th after loading the bases with no outs.  Things started falling apart in the bottom of the 7th. Louisville's Corey Ray hit a two-run homer to put the Cards within one to give the home team momentum. With two outs, they almost took control of the game, but Marcus Carson's catch at the wall ended the inning and saved a homer. Carson came up big again in the 8th.  His sac fly drove home Zach Reks to give Kentucky a 6-4 lead.  It should have been enough, but wild pitches were everywhere.  With two outs, a Louisville line drive put them within one, tying the game on a wild pitch.  The Cats threw five wild pitches after the 7th inning. The Cats had a chance in the 9th, stranding a runner. The bottom half began with a strikeout, but an infield single put runners on first and second to setup the walk-off.
