WATCH: Nick Roush talks Kentucky Football and Derby with Andy & Ari

Nick Roush decided he hadn’t talked enough this week, so he hopped on “Andy & Ari” to talk to Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman about the two things he loves most: the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Football.
Let’s start with football. Roush shared his thoughts on the state of the program entering season 13 of the Mark Stoops era. That included explaining the “Motivated Mark Stoops” meme that continues to make the rounds as fans battle apathy after a disappointing 2024 campaign. Can Zach Calzada and his fellow transfers turn things around, or does Mark Stoops no longer have the best job in football, as Staples claimed ahead of last season?
Tired of football talk? Roush shared plenty about the ponies earlier in the show. Turns out Ari Wasserman has also been to the Derby plenty of times — although he rarely made it inside Churchill Downs because he was partying so hard in the parking lot. Hearing him and Roush swap stories is a good time on Friday afternoon.
