Get ready to hear some new voices in the broadcast booth when Kentucky hosts Eastern Michigan on Saturday night. Clay Matvick and Chase Daniel will be on the call for the 7:30 p.m. ET kick on ESPNU, their first Kentucky football game as an announcing duo.

Matvick, who has worked for ESPN since 2006, has called some Kentucky football and baseball games in the past, but this will be Daniel’s first. That said, you may recognize his name. He played quarterback for Missouri from 2005-08, leading the Tigers to back-to-back Big 12 Championship games. He was an All-American, a finalist for the 2007 Heisman Trophy, and set Missouri’s all-time total-yards mark, with over 12,500 passing yards with 101 touchdowns. As a pro, he played for seven NFL franchises, including the Super Bowl XLIV champion New Orleans Saints.

Daniel has dabbled in broadcasting for a few years, even during his playing career, and has a successful YouTube channel focusing on quarterback analysis. He also co-hosts The Athletic’s Scoop City NFL podcast with Dianna Russini and co-hosted The Facility on FS1 and contributed to NFL Network. He joined ESPN this year as a college football and NFL analyst. Last week, he and Matvick were on the call for No. 4 Georgia vs. Austin Peay on ESPN+/SEC Network+.

Hopefully, Saturday night is a blowout, but it will be interesting to hear Daniel’s thoughts on Cutter Boley’s debut as Kentucky’s starting quarterback.
