The Kentucky Wildcats got a commitment from another in-state kid. This time, it’s a walk-on from Somerset, Kentucky.

Jase Bruner is a 6-2, 235-pound linebacker in the 2020 class. He committed to the Cats Sunday afternoon.

The Kentucky native put up solid statistics in the regular season this year. Through 10 games, he’s totaled 67 tackles, five TFL, one sack and two fumble recoveries. On the offensive side of the ball, Bruner rushed the ball 39 times for 311 yards and five touchdowns. In 2018, Bruner was the District 7 Player of the Year, Team MVP, First-Team All-Conference and All-County team, according to his Twitter page. He also holds a 4.3 GPA and is a Kentucky Governor’s Scholar.

It’s always nice to see the Cats add an in-state kid, especially in the form of a walk-on.

Welcome to the family, Jase!
