Easter Sunday must be a big day to drop some graphics.

A pair of nationally-ranked football prospects announced earlier this afternoon that Kentucky is among their list of finalists. Class of 2024 recruits, CB Aaron Scott Jr. and TE Brody Kosin, included the Wildcats in their respective “top schools” lists on Sunday. Kentucky made the Top 12 for Scott (4-star, No. 42 overall, per the On3 Consensus) and the Top 10 for Kosin (3-star, No. 895 overall).

Currently, Kentucky has just two commitments from the class of 2024 in three-star offensive linemen Aba Selm and Hayes Johnson.

We’ll start with Scott, who is the higher-ranked player of the two — and for good reason. Along with Kentucky, his finalists include Oregon, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Florida State, Louisville, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame. Recently, the 6-foot-1 product out of Springfield, OH has taken visits to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Michigan. Scott holds over 30 Divison I offers and is considered the top junior prospect from the state of Ohio.

Kentucky was just the second school to offer Scott, which he earned all the way back in Dec. 2021, just a few days after Georgia Tech got his recruitment rolling with his first scholarship opportunity. In an interview with On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Scott pointed to UK being one of the first schools to offer him as a reason why they made his Top 12. He’ll visit Ohio State, the perceived frontrunner, for an official in late June.

Another tie with Scott that could help Kentucky is how the staff has recruited out of the Springfield area in the past. Most recently, three-star wide receiver Anthony Brown from the class of 2023 committed to the ‘Cats last July and is already on campus as an early enrollee.

Moving onto Kosin, Kentucky cracked his Top 10, which also includes Duke, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Miami (OH), West Virginia, and Tulsa. The three-star tight end out of Clarkston (MI) High School has visited Lexington multiple times for visits. He’s being primarily recruited to UK by associate head coach/tight ends coach Vince Marrow, who extended Kosin his first-ever Power 5 offer back in Sept. 2022.

Kosin visited UK’s campus back in the fall for a gameday visit and then again in January for the program’s annual Junior Day. He’ll make his final decision on April 29. Kentucky is recruiting a few other 2024 tight ends, namely three-star Gavin Grover out of Lewis Center, OH, who has visited campus several times already.
