Mark Stoops’ coaching staff has successfully operated in the shadows this offseason. Visits are rarely publicized ahead of time, but that isn’t keeping talented prospects away from Lexington. This week the Kentucky football team hosted another four-star linebacker, the latest in a string of talented tacklers to tour campus.

KSR has learned Stanquan Clark was on Kentucky’s campus Monday. A 6-foot-1, 210-pound linebacker from Miami, Clark is a four-star prospect ranked as the No. 350 player in the 2023 recruiting class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Clark made the trip to Lexington after officially visiting NC State. Georgia, Florida State and Auburn are also in the mix in Clark’s recruitment.

Talented Linebacker Targets to Visit Kentucky

Clark is the latest in a string of talented 2023 linebackers that have visited Kentucky’s campus over the last two weeks. Ohio four-star linebacker, Arvell Reese, unexpectedly participated in Kentucky’s Sunday Showcase Camp. Over the weekend four-star linebacker Jaden Robinson was a surprise addition to UK’s official visitor guest list. Marcellius Pulliam, a top 500 linebacker prospect from Georgia, took an unofficial visit to Kentucky last week. Grant Godfrey, another Georgia linebacker ranked No. 194 in the On3 Consensus, recently shared photos from his trip to Lexington. Also pursued by Tennessee and Georgia Tech, Kentucky is currently the leader for Godfrey in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Kentucky isn’t just hunting for linebackers in the 2023 recruiting class. Lorenzo Cowan was among three surprise unofficial visitors from the state of Georgia in Lexington over the weekend. Cowan is a 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect from Savannah with a handful of scholarship offers.

The Wildcats have an experienced roster of talented linebackers on this year’s roster, but will be losing Jacquez Jones and DeAndre Square to graduation after the season. Kentucky needs to reload and it’s apparent the Cats are in a position to add at least one or two four-star linebackers to the 2023 recruiting class.
