Kentucky Football Prepares for Final Official Visits of the Summer

Recruits have been rolling in and out of the Joe Craft Football Facility. Over the final ten days of the summer recruiting period, Kentucky will host more than 20 official visitors. As one group prepares to leave on Thursday, another prepares to arrive on Friday.
In the transfer portal, your chances are better at landing a player if you get the first visit. It’s the exact opposite in high school recruiting. Closing time is here as players take one final look before getting into decision-making mode. Kentucky has a few important players in town for this vital recruiting event.

Kentucky Official Visitors (June 20-22)
CB Jaedyn Terry: GA. TECH COMMIT, 4-Star, No. 345 overall, 6-1.5, 170 lbs., Manchester (GA)
The stakes are high for this talented cornerback, and they just got higher. Terry committed to Georgia Tech in the spring, then followed up with an official visit to Atlanta in early June. He started his week in Tuscaloosa. At his official visit, he received a scholarship offer from the Tide. It’s down to three, and the time is now for Kentucky to make a big move. He’s a three-sport star who also plays basketball and runs the hurdles in track. His cousin is Justus Terry, a five-star DL who signed with Texas in December.
IOL Tyreek Jemison: 3-Star, No. 660 overall, 6-5, 330 lbs., Paulding County (Dallas, GA)
He may not have the highest recruiting ranking, but he’s one Kentucky’s most important recruits. The Wildcats are in need of a quality IOL and Jemison is one of the big names on the board. Georgia Tech is trying to keep the Atlanta Metro athlete home. He’s wrapping up a visit to Mississippi State before arriving in Lexington. N.C. State and North Carolina also hosted Jemison for an OV.
DL Ben Duncum: 3-Star, 6-5, 250 lbs., Lake Travis (Austin, TX)
One of a few defensive line targets in the Kentucky crosshairs, the Wildcats have not hesitated to recruit the Lone Star State during this cycle. Kentucky is the only SEC school in the mix. Kansas State and Oklahoma State are the two teams to watch. He also took an official visit to Wisconsin.

CB Kosci Barnes: 3-Star, 6-2, 185 lbs., Grimsley (Greensboro, NC)
Rutgers and South Carolina were among the first schools to hone in on Barnes and get him on campus for an official visit. North Carolina and Miami joined the party, but only the latter secured an official visit. Like Jemison, he’s finishing a trip to Starkville before traveling to Lexington.
DL Walt Frazier: 3-star, 6-3, 295 lbs., The Haverford School (Philadelphia, PA)
Kentucky has had some recent success recruiting players from Philadelphia. The Wildcats have their sights set on a true nose guard and Frazier fits that profile. UConn and Syracuse previously hosted the big man for an official visit.
