Kentucky Signs JUCO CB Braxton Urquhart
Will Stein kicked off his first day on the job with National Signing Day. Most players made it official on Wednesday, but not all of them.
On Thursday, the University of Kentucky announced that Braxton Urquhart has officially joined Big Blue Nation. A junior college product, it was unclear if the cornerback would in fact get across the finish line, but the Cats now have 12 players inked in the 2026 recruiting class.
About: The 6-foot-3 defensive back played high school football at Hoover (Al.) before beginning his collegiate career at Butler C.C in Kansas where he had 26 tackles last fall.

Luckett’s Film Room: Braxton Urquhart is a junior college transfer with good positional size and play strength. The cornerback plays a physical brand of football and is strong against quick game. Good tackler who can bully some receivers when he lands a punch in press. There are some top end concerns but he plays through the catchpoint and put some competitive plays on tape in coverage.
2026 Kentucky Football Recruiting Class
Two more players could join the fold on Friday. Tight end Lincoln Watkins is expected to sign in the evening, but we’re unsure where Messiah Tilson stands. The second-highest-ranked commitment has been getting pushed by Rutgers. Will Kentucky be able to hold on, or is a flip in progress?
