Kentucky will have 8 super seniors on 2024 roster

The COVID-19 season in 2020 created the super senior era in college football. For at least another year, players who competed in that shortened season received an extra year of eligibility. Kentucky has used that rule effectively in the past.
Luke Fortner returned for an extra season and became a third-round pick after moving to center. Keidron Smith used the extra year to play one more college football season with Kentucky. Josh Ali came back one for one final year in 2021 to record 41 receptions for 601 yards in 10 games. The Wildcats have capitalized on this extra year option.
