Last week, Reddit compiled the rankings of Athlon Sports, ESPN and Bill Connelly from SB Nation to create a composite preseason ranking. Here is what they came up with:

Kentucky comes in at the #40 spot overall. Personally, I think that is a very fair ranking for the Cats. Kentucky came in ranked in 11th out of 14 SEC schools. The rankings for the teams the Cats will play this year is:
- at #92 Southern Miss
- vs. EKU
- at #36 South Carolina
- vs. #15 Florida
- vs. #104 Eastern Michigan
- vs. #48 Missouri
- at. #29 Mississippi State
- vs. #21 Tennessee
- vs. #37 Ole Miss
- vs. #54 Vanderbilt
- at. #16 Georgia
- vs. #14 Louisville
Some other notable rankings include: Alabama at #1, the defending champs Clemson at #5, and Western Kentucky at #69.
