Kentucky has second-longest winning streak in college football

After a strong finish to 2021 and a hot start in 2022, the Kentucky Wildcats have the second-longest winning streak in college football. And if the balls bounce the right way this weekend, they could enter week five at the top of the list.
With seven consecutive wins dating back to last season, Kentucky comes in at No. 2 in the nation, behind only Clemson with nine straight. Behind them, Coastal Carolina, Minnesota and UCLA are all tied for No. 3 with six consecutive wins each.
- 1. Clemson (9)
- 2. Kentucky (7)
- T3. Coastal Carolina (6)
- T3. Minnesota (6)
- T3. UCLA (6)
- T6. Arkansas (5)
- T6. Georgia (5)
- T6. Maryland (5)
- T6. NC State (5)
- T10. Ohio State (4)
- T10. Oklahoma (4)
- T10. Oklahoma State (4)
- T10. Wake Forest (4)
An interesting wrinkle up top? No. 5 Clemson travels to No. 21 Wake Forest for a road matchup at Truist Field on Saturday. Should the Demon Deacons pull off the upset and the Wildcats take care of business at home vs. Northern Illinois, Kentucky would hold the longest active winning streak in college football.

Not too shabby, right?
That’s not the only winning streak separating UK from the rest of the nation, either. The Wildcats’ 18 straight non-conference wins is the longest active streak in the country, as well.
Kentucky has a chance to push its non-conference streak to 19 wins and overall winning streak to eight games. Just have to get it done against the Huskies.
