Kentucky High School Football Rankings: Week 8

It’s more of the same this week. Of the top nine teams in our preseason Kentucky high school football rankings, all but one are still in the top nine. The exception? Trinity, who slipped from preseason No. 5 to current No. 14 after starting the season 2-6.

Kentucky High School Football Top 25

1. Male – Daniel Swinney ran for multiple touchdowns, including one 26 seconds into the game. Male beat Southern 42-6.

2. St. Xavier – QB Jack Sivori ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw for two more in a 42-10 blowout over Manual.

3. Lexington Christian Academy – Mason Moore returned an interception for a score in a 55-0 shutout of Washington County

4. Corbin – Seth Mills had three rushing scores and Corbin dominated Knox Central 56-0.

5. Frederick Douglass – DNP

6. South Warren – Kobe Martin ran for all five of the Spartan touchdowns in a 41-0 blasting of McCracken County.

7. Boyle County – Kentucky commit Jackson Smith booted three field goals in a hard-fought 16-10 win over district rival Lexington Catholic.

8. Beechwood – Reigning Mr. Football Cam Hergott tossed five touchdowns in a 56-7 win over Covington Holy Cross.

9. Johnson Central – Quarterback Grant Rice rushed for multiple scores and the Golden Eagles defeated Perry County Central 41-0 in heavy fog.
