Kentucky already has a couple of top 2027 visitors for the Purdue game on Friday. Now, they’re adding one more to the mix: 2027 four-star guard Chase Lumpkin.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard from McEachern (Powder Springs, GA) told KSR+ that he will be in attendance for the Kentucky vs. Purdue game on Friday, Oct. 24. It will be his first time on campus for an unofficial visit.

Lumpkin holds offers from Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida State, San Diego, and East Carolina, among others. He has taken unofficial visits to Alabama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. Schools like Duke, Tennessee, and Rutgers have been in to see him recently.

Chase Lumpkin’s Game

McEachern (Georgia) four-star shooting guard Chase Lumpkin is the nation’s No. 60 overall prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Rivals ranks Lumpkin as the No. 44 shooting guard in the 2027 class.

Kentucky’s Visitors for the Purdue Game

Chase Lumpkin isn’t the only Kentucky visitor for the game on Friday. Two more highly ranked 2027 recruits will be in attendance.

Other Kentucky visitors include five-star center Obinna Ekezie Jr. and four-star forward Lincoln Cosby.

Ekezie, a 7-foot, 215-pound center from Southeastern Prep (Lagos) is originally from Nigeria, but moved to Louisville, Kentucky, shortly after his 13th birthday. He previously spent time at Prolific Prep in Napa, CA, before transferring to Southeastern Prep in Orlando, Florida.

Cosby, a 6-foot-9, 205-pound small forward from Montverde Academy (Cincinnati, OH) has already taken an unofficial visit to Michigan this fall. He recently transferred from Overtime Elite in Atlanta, GA, to Montverde ahead of the 2025-26 season, where head coach Steve Turner broke down his game for KSR+.
