The wind is howling at Kroger Field, but it’s not slowing down the Kentucky offense. The Wildcats lead Tennessee Tech 28-7 after two quarters of football on Senior Day.

Seth McGowan celebrated the occasion with three short rushing touchdowns in the first half. A 43-yard pass to Kendrick Law set up one of those scores.

Cutter Boley‘s passes are cutting through the wind. He used his legs for the most impressive play of the day.

Cam Dooley is making the most of his first career start. The safety dove to intercept a tipped pass, setting up a Kentucky touchdown drive with just under four minutes to play. Unfortunately, they gave Tennessee Tech a little too much time.

A QB scramble against man coverage picked up 21 yards to get the Golden Eagles going. Kekoa Viserpas flipped the field on one scramble to gain six, then scrambled for a first down to get to the UK 15-yard line. On fourth down, Visperas found an open target in the end zone.

Just like UK, Tennessee Tech scored too quickly. Kendrick Law had the best kickoff return of his Kentucky career. A late hit gave the Cats the ball in enemy territory. Law got 19 on the first snap of the drive, then Boley hit Ja’Mori Maclin for a gain of 20, setting the table for McGowan’s third rushing touchdown.

Kentucky will get the ball first at the start of the second half.
