Uniform Watch: Kentucky is running this combo back in the Governor's Cup

Since 2018, Louisville has worn all red jerseys when hosting the Governor’s Cup series. Kentucky’s jersey combo has also been the same during that time. The Cats have gone chrome, white, white in the last three road games against the Cards.

Kentucky has not lost a road game in this series since. Both teams are running it back in 2025.

Kentucky cruised to a 56-10 victory in 2018 as Louisville was in the middle of a coaching search. In 2021, Kentucky won 52-21 as a small road underdog in a game where the Wildcats rushed for 362 yards. Two years later, UK beat a 10-1 Louisville team in a 38-31 upset highlighted by a Barion Brown kickoff return touchdown and 127 yards from scrimmage from tailback Ray Davis.

Will UK’s winning streak at Louisville continue? The jersey trend is on the Big Blue’s side as well as the visitor trend. Over the last 16 meetings in this rivalry series, the road team is 11-5 (12-3 ATS) with the underdog winning 10 games outright. The Cats are currently a three-point underdog at BetMGM.
