Kentucky MBB hosting 30 NBA teams for annual Pro Day

Representatives from all 30 NBA teams will be in Lexington this week to check out what John Calipari’s latest group has to offer.
It was announced on Monday morning that Kentucky men’s basketball will host its annual Pro Day event this Wednesday, October 11 inside of Rupp Arena. In UK’s press release, this year’s Pro Day will provide “more coverage than ever before”. It will air live on the SEC Network+ from 6-8 p.m. EST with Jimmy Dykes and Jack “Goose” Givens on the call, accompanied by live hits from SportsCenter from 6-7:30 p.m. EST with updates provided by Kevin Negandhi and Seth Greenberg.
As always, Pro Day will include “combine-like” practice sessions in front of NBA scouts and front-office personnel. Members of the Kentucky coaching staff will conduct players various drills such as agility and shooting exercises plus 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 scrimmages.

Pro Day will serve as the tune-up for Big Blue Madness, which is set for Friday, Oct. 13.
Once again, Calipari is welcoming in a new-look gang of Wildcats for the 2023-24 season. There are eight freshmen on the roster, headlined by a handful of four- and five-star recruits such as DJ Wagner, Justin Edwards, Aaron Bradshaw, Robert Dillingham, and Reed Sheppard. Pro Day will also give NBA scouts a first-hand at the rest of UK’s rookie class: Joey Hart and Jordan Burks. Recently added 7-foot-2 Croatian freshman Zvonimir Ivišić is not expected to participate.
Additionally, NBA personnel will get eyes on the year-over-year improvements from sophomore Adou Thiero, fifth-year senior Antonio Reeves (who nearly turned pro over the offseason), and West Virginia graduate student transfer Tre Mitchell. It is unknown at this time if Bradshaw or sophomore center Ugonna Onyenso will participate, as both are dealing with injuries.
